Visiting Bonita Springs

Bonita Springs is one of the popular vacation destinations near the islands of Sanibel and Captiva. The city is also one of the northernmost cities in Florida to enjoy a tropical climate. Bonita Springs is famous for its beaches and for its various recreational activities. One can venture from Bonita Springs to the nearby Hickory Island for seaside adventures. One can also spend their time on any of the numerous beaches in the area. There are 10 areas where visitors to Bonita Springs may park their vehicles and explore the beach environs, which are pleasant with safe waters.

Bonita Springs golf is one of the most popular diversions among tourists. There are golf courses of all sizes in the community, from 9-hole courses to 27-hole courses on which one could find themselves spending the majority of their vacation. The facilities here benefit from Florida’s famously tropical climate which makes for very green links and lush vegetation. Aside from the world-class golfing, most of these courses constitute destinations in and of themselves, with their immaculate greens and manicured trees and other features. Options range from community courses to very exclusive country club establishments popular with the upscale crowd.

Naples and Bonita Springs also enjoy a great deal of popularity due to the dog racing circuit. Of course, being Florida, this means greyhounds and not teams of huskies! The Bonita Springs dog racing facility is off of I-75 and offers year-round events. It also offers simulcast horse racing, Texas Holdem and other gambling facilities. This is a very large complex and also includes dining options which include everything from pizza to sit-down meals. The poker rooms at the facility are a popular draw and have an age limit of 18-years or older. This facility also allows visitors to adopt a retired greyhound. These dogs make excellent pets and are very gentle with children.

Booking a Bonita Springs vacation offers plenty to do whether it is the exclusive destination or just one stop among many. The entire region around Naples and Bonita Springs is dotted with various diversions. Bonita Springs golf and dog racing offer something to do when one needs some time away from the sun and the surf of the beaches. The area of Bonita Springs is easily accessible from the Fort Myers area and offers a laid-back and tourist-friendly environment in which to relax and enjoy the Florida climes.
